Job Description


Our team builds customer facing features for some of the most highly visited media websites in Australia, as well as the content management systems and services. We’re using a brand new, entirely cloud-first modern tech stack, with a fully automated, Slack-integrated CI/CD DevOps environment. We craft world-class high performance, high availability, web applications in small autonomous Agile squads.

As a Quality Engineer in our team you'll identify and implement quality improvements across the product, process and culture within your squad. You’ll work alongside engineers, providing guidance to instil a strong focus on quality and security. You’ll build and improve automations tools and frameworks to support delivering the product roadmap. You will be supported to up skill and train in DevOps and other areas of our stack.


Our tech stack includes React, Node.js, Golang, GraphQL, gRPC, Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Concourse CI/CD, Slack, Prometheus, Honeycomb, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL and more.


Qualifications

We invest heavily in the continuous development of our people, so you will need to be someone who is open to new ideas and is motivated by learning new things. You will also enjoy working collaboratively across the team and the organisation, and be able to share creative ideas in a professional and constructive way.

In order to be successful for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience applying test methodologies and QA processes across the software release process in an Agile environment

  • Proven engineering skills (such as an understanding of Object oriented design principles and patterns).

  • A commitment to quality in your work and your team. You’ve helped create high quality software by shifting quality left, using your influence and persuasion to bring the team along.

You’ll have a head start if you also have:

  • Experience using React Testing Library or equivalent web based testing libraries

  • Experience using source control (e.g. Git) for Continuous Delivery/Deployment

  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence
